In and around Mo i Rana there are a total of 23 kindergartens where all have their specialties and peculiarities. They cover a large area. From Utskarpen Kindergarten in the west and to the kindergarten on Storforshei in northt east, it is 57 km. Common to all kindergartens is the emphasis on high pedagogical quality, and the greatest possible flexibility in admission.

In and around Mo i Rana there are 9 municipal and 14 private owned kindergartens. The city and the region expect population growth in the coming years, especially among families with youngsters. The capacity and the quality in the kindergartens are therefore a conscious focus area.

In addition to the seventeen kindergartens close to the city, there are kindergartens on Storforshei and Skonseng, in Åga, Dalselv, Utskarpen and in Grønnfjelldalen.

The kindergarten offer is also good in the surrounding municipalities. The region sees the kindergarten initiativ as an important tool for strengthened settlement.
